A Little About Jerry From Jerry!!!
Hi I am Jerry Ray a musician from the Cincinnati, Ohio area. I have been playing
and singing professionally since the age of 13 playing in local nite clubs and venues
paying my dues. I started playing guitar at the ripe old age of 6, after my Grandpa
died. He used to play 5 string banjo in the House Band at Waltz's Barn in Alexandria
Ky for years. Out of 16 grand kids my sister and I,are the only ones who play
professionally. I started in my first band at 13 yrs of age and I still haven't stopped.
A few years later after taking it on the road, and bringing it back home again I
passed on a job with National Recording Artist Mark Chestnut in 1991, and Wade
Hayes in 2001. I passed those up due to being a full time single father and raising my
son Ryan Christopher (Luv Ya Rhino) since 1991.
Ryan and I moved down South and I played in Tennessee, Missouri, and Arkansas.
After returning home again to take care of my Father, I started playing Bass and I
have been singing and playing with other bands for about the last 8 years like Kodie
Montana, Tunetown Bandits, Notorious, Without Warning and Thomas Michael. I
also have filled in for many bands such as JT Curtis, Rhodehouse, Lonesome Road
and Rick House to name a few.
Now with the itch I've been getting, my son being almost eighteen and bigger than
me, and the overwhelming support of my fans telling me to put a band of my own
together. I've decided to do just that! I have opened up for many National Acts such
as Alabama, Diamond Rio, Richochet, Blackhawk, Sara Evans, David Kirsch, David
Allen Coe, T. Graham Brown,The Lynns, Kevin Sharp, Marty Stuart. And Travis
Tritt, the Bellamy Brothers and Hank Jr to name a few. Nothing makes me happier
than to deliver the message of a song to at least one person every night I perform. I
Love to Entertain People and I believe they enjoy being entertained by me as well.
My heart is in Country Rock & R&B and always will be!
I'd like to thank my Mom and Dad for always believing in me, and my Sister for
always singing with me,and
all my fans for all the love and support!! I Love You All!
